Visiting Disneyland

Disneyland is known for offering plenty of rides and theatrical shows to its guests in a magical environment that is known as "The Happiest Place on Earth." Besides getting wet on Splash Mountain or getting spooked on The Haunted Mansion, there are many other ways to have fun at the park. When you want to explore different parts of Disneyland, there are many ways to create new memories with your family.

Dine at the Character Breakfast

When you want to start your day off strong at Disneyland, the Character Breakfast is the perfect place to meet your favorite Disney characters, whether you're a fan of Donald Duck or want to hug Minnie Mouse. The all-you-can-eat breakfast includes your favorite staple breakfast items with American cuisine on the menu at the Plaza Inn. Choose from Mickey waffles or made-to-order omelets when you want delicious eats before heading out to the park.

You can take in the views of Sleeping Beauty's castle while getting your autograph book signed by your favorite characters. The characters will visit your table and will enjoy taking photos with each person present. Be sure to ask about the character breakfast as sometimes you can gain entry to Disneyland an entire hour early by participating in this event!

Stay at the Disneyland Hotel

If you want to enjoy the complete experience of visiting Disneyland, consider booking your stay at the Disneyland Hotel. The establishment is located next to the park and within walking distance, making it easy to get to the park at opening hours each day. Or jump on the Disneyland Monorail at the hotel and get whisked in to the park even more quickly! Each room includes magical decor with a wall that lights up and resembles the fireworks that are seen over the park each night.

Cool off in the summer season with themed-pools that have waterslides or get pampered at one of the on-site spas that are available. Fine dining is also offered at the hotel's restaurant.

Ride the Mark Twain Riverboat

Steer the Mark Twain Riverboat where you can take in the views of the park and even sign the guestbook that is available onboard. Multiple levels are available on the boat where you can take a seat with other guests. It is considered one of the classic rides at Disneyland and is also one of the oldest.

Special Events

There is an extensive list of special events that are hosted at Disneyland throughout the year where you can celebrate certain holidays or causes. The Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend is a popular event for fans who want to stay active and enjoy all things Star Wars-themed. New Orleans Square Mardi Gras will also allow you to celebrate the holiday in New Orleans Square in the park where you can eat Cajun food and collect beaded necklaces.

CHOC Walk in the Park is hosted for an important cause in August and raises funds for the Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Participants will obtain free parking tickets and a discounted entrance fee to Disneyland.

World of Color

The World of Color is a magical show that is hosted in the evening where you can watch multiple fountains come to life in the adjacent California Adventure park where you'll see clips from your favorite Disney films. The World of Color will allow you to have a front-row seat to a show that is synchronized with hit songs from Disney movies. You can often get a good deal on multi-park deals for Disneyland and California Adventure by purchasing multi-day passes.

Get an Annual Pass

For Southern California residents, it's smart to get an annual pass that allows you to enjoy more trips to the park throughout the year. The annual pass can be paid monthly and will make it easy to avoid the entrance fee that is required to enter the park. You can explore both parks with the pass and enjoy hopping on rides for a few hours or the entire weekend. For additional information visit
